 Field Paleontology - 2nd through 6th

We will find amber and plant fossils, while examining the geologic forces which shaped our region. Kids learn the real science concepts behind Jurassic Park, with an appreciation for the rarity of the amber they collect. There are only five places in the U.S. where amber can be readily collected; we are fortunate to have one in our "backyard".

Access requires a two mile hike, round trip, with little elevation change.
