Like the Bermuda Triangle, the Wenatchee Triangle is an area of mystery. On this weekend trip, you'll uncover clues to the continental collisions and lava flows which formed this part of the Cascades, while finding buried treasures: crystals, fossils, garnets, opal and petrified wood. Our newest Rockin' trip!
We meet in Cle Elum on Saturday morning, then drive from I-90 to Route 2, stopping to collect along the way. Saturday night is spent in our comfy, mid-price motel in Wenatchee. Participants will gobble up Bob's edible petrology program Saturday evening, then have a good snooze before embarking on another day of collecting on Sunday. Trip ends at 3 p.m. Sunday, near Vantage.
You'll receive a discount code for our Wentachee motel when you book. Trip participants are welcome at the Saturday night program whether you stay at the group motel or on your own.
Price: $80/person (includes tools, guide, and instruction for 2 days)
2009 Dates: To be announced. This trip is offered in odd numbered years only.
