Rockin' Through the Okanagan
Join us for a fun-filled, 3 day family adventure, exploring how BC was assembled. We'll collect marine fossils, crystals, gold and gem materials as we follow ancient coastlines
turned to mountains. Trips start Friday in Chilliwack, end Sunday in Grand Forks. On day 1 we collect fossils and agates, build edible earth models, and stay in Osoyoos. Day two we learn the secrets of
gold prospectors, pan for gold and garnets, collect pretty copper minerals, and stay near Greenwood. Day 3 is spent at Rock Candy Mountain. Head home at your own pace.
For the explorer who prefers comfort to camping, we stay in Bed & Breakfasts. First night's lodging is at a private observatory in Osoyoos, where the view is out of this world, and the beds are
heavenly. Included is an evening program: introduction to photography through their 16 inch telescope. You will be able to take photos like the one at right, which we took last May. Second nite
is in a fully updated heritage house in Greenwood. Both accomodations feature gourmet breakfasts.
