Explorer’s Group As a consulting geologist, Bob often works at sites which are closed to the public. Occasionally, a property owner will allow him to bring a few collectors along for an unusual collecting opportunity. Members of our Explorer’s Group are notified of these opportunities.
EG Members have been the first or only collectors into at least a dozen fabulous localities (and a few duds) in the past 10 years. Some trips have long lead times; for others, notification may be as little as a week in advance.
If you enjoy the adventure of prospecting, and would like to work with professional collectors, consider joining the group. Most EG trips are small, allowing 4 to12 participants.
Requirements: You must have been on one of our adult trips in the past. This is so we are acquainted. The group is for hobbyists only. There is a one-time $20.00 fee to join. Trip notices are sent via e-mail or snail mail. At present, there are 86 members. Members who do not take an EG trip with us within 4 years of signing-up are dropped from the list.
